Hello Ovation Gurus,
There is an Elite 6778, NOT 6778 LX, but the discontinued model, for sale in town and I was wondering if anyone had any info on it. The Ovation history omits this particular guitar. I am assuming that the '778' means a mid-depth, cutaway bowl, but what about the neck? 2 or 5 piece? Fretboard inlays? One piece, maple epaulets?

Kind of on topic, why do some guitars start with '6' and others '1'? Like a 6778 vs. 1778? Is there some meaning behind this?

Thanks in advance, jim.
