Is it just me, or are the Adamas I's in the red or the black finish rare? Maybe I just have not been paying attention to these guitars for a long enough period of time to have noticed these colors. I can only recall ever seeing one of each of these colors!!! I seem to see alot of beige or tan. When someone says Adamas, the Blue is what I picture. It seems to be the most popular or most made color. Or maybe that is just my perception being that the Blue is my all time favorite. This is the color that I have. If anyone here has a Black or red, I sure would like to see a picture of these beautiful guitars!!! Anyone here have them or know of them? I am not interested in buying, just want some eyecandy!!!

although I am not sure, I would venture to say that blue is the most popular color.

Here's a pic of our very own "Woz" playing a red one (one of Bill's SlotHead's) at the last Factory Tour. (Please Note: I "touched up" this pic in PhotoShop - in the original pic, Woz's eyes are "rolled back" in ecstacy - not a pretty sight.)

While I think the red one's are nice . . . to ME . . Adamases are BLUE . . period.

Here's a pic of me playing a black 1688 during a guitar workshop in France. I purchased the same guitar from "playadamas" last week. Still waiting for arrival ....

Blue-8 was the most popular. it went in cycles after that. the beige-7, the brown-9 and red-2. when we came with black-5 that was quite popular.

My 1981 Adamas was black. It was a 1687-5. I wanted a blue one, but the guy I got it from had the black one in stock. They look great in any color.

Thank You to everyone for sharing your pics. Blue is still my favorite, but the Black is running a couple yards behind!! Red and brown are neck and neck holding steady in 3rd place. Being a Lady, I would love to have a Black to go with my BLue, but that Black just looks a guitar that is full of testosterone !!!! ( Forgive my spelling). IF I had a Black , I might attach a flower to the headstock just like Nancy Wilson of Heart . I just might have to hunt down a Black 12 string Adamas after Christmas.

Wow, your a lady?

That brings up an interesting question.
In my testostorone filled mind I just assumed all the OFC'ers were guys.

How many of our members are women?
Anyone have a rough guess?

In my mind I picture Moody wearing clothes! Don't ask Cliff if you're not ready for the answer!

I believe the "verbal" (Typal?) Members are men.

Old men.

Who have chosen their bad habits (Ovations) with some forethought and much mitigation.

Woodrow, that's a really bizzare statement, proving once again, that you fit in well here.
