Hey,

do you know this fantastic page?

http://www.onlinejam.org/

Would be nice to have such for guitars also.

Is it possible to include music files into the OFC page? - then it would be possible to hear you guys playing :) .

Miles is the keeper of the OFC board.

If anything were to be added to the site (like music files), he would be the one to handle all the details.

Yeah, I actually think it would be kinda cool to have a section set up for members to upload some of there favorites or original ditties.

Maybe it could go in the member access section where the galleries are located.

Nice idea- is it feasible? Do we have to buy more "bandwidth" to accomodate that kind of thing?

This has been discussed before and I think there are issues with posting your performance of any copywritten song. If it's your own original composition that's OK. Try a SEARCH and you may find more info about this. Another issue might be storage space. Remember, except for the purchase of OFC Store items and maybe an occasional donation, we the members are reaping all the benefits of this site and someone else (Miles & Al?) is footing the bill. I run two websites of my own which are miniscule compared to the OFC and even those aere not cheap.

It would just be greate if a page about guitars is no a silent page but has some sounds somewere.

As to avoid copyright problem: make simple rules: post only our own songs. If you don’t have own songs go for traditionals. You can also take songs older then 70 years, I guess. Or you take one from other board members which they put into a OVC songbook in the members area.

As for the space problem: Limit the number of songs and only the most wanted 10 stay in every month.

Well, the easiest way to hear at least some of you guys playing would be just to make a link list were everyone who runs his own page with songs posts the address.

Does nobody have some soundfiles somewere on the net? I just ordered a domain for my band, so I can't give you the first link today, but I work on it.
