Location: Fresno, CA | I purchased an Ovation Celebrity CC0026 with the OP11 preamp from Guitar Center a while back.
I'd like to change the preamp to a OP20, or OP30.
Guitar Center doesn't sell the preamps, or know if it's possible to change them.
Looking at the OP20 and OP30, they seem to be the same size/shape as my OP11. Is it possible to change/swap them out? If so, where can one get a preamp? Directly from Ovation? |

All the answers can be had by contacting Customer Service. Go to www.Ovationguitars.com and follow the links. They may or may not have the Pre-amps you want.
You may even want to consider simply buying more Ovations and having a collection of Pre-amps! Not very practical but once bitten it is hard not to consider!

Location: Chicagoland | I emailed Ovation about this, and they said no upgrades were a avalible. However, I have reason to disagree with them. |

Location: SoCal | They know what they're talking about. My guess is that they mean that no drop in upgrade is available. You'd have to change out the "can", the internal receptical, with the preamp. |
