Hey,
Have you ever changed the strings on your ax, and had all the tunners lined up in a perect row, when your guitar was in tune?
I've been playing for 28 years, and have never seen this once, but yet they do it everytime in Guitar Advertisements, weird huh?

Garrison Keillor ("PrairieHomeCompanion") often quips onstage that he can tell that guest's guitar is in tune because "the 'twisty things' are all lined up, nice and parallel. . ."

Actually I'm kind of a type-A guy. So, the way I tune my guitar is to get it as perfect in tune as I can, but then I give each key the little "extra" to get them all lined up. It looks really nice and neat. Dave

But tony, you are!

I stop at making sure that the ball ends of the strings all align at the bridge. If you take and run the just-removed G string though them on a 12 string they are easier to have aligned upon tensioning.

That's right, line them all up perpendicular to the top! Can you believe some people make their ball ends go parallel with the top. Bad juju, man, breaks up the standing wave...they can't do right angles, you know.
