Just a reminder that all of us can make a difficult time much easier for many. I'm refering to those dear souls in Convalescent Homes.

Just take your Ovation(s) with you to the nearest CH, (get permission from the administrator) and play your favorite Holiday music to the residents. Do the "hall crawl"... walk down the hallways playing and singing, stop by the individual rooms for a "special".

This gift, especially at this time of year, can be the greatest gift you will ever give AND receive!

Try it! You'll like it!

Hi Everyone,
Tim is right on for the money. I go to three different nursing homes and they just love it when you play a guitar and sing off key. You can play anything from Silent Night to the Chipmunk song they will love ya for it.

I think I have to ban the use of the word "dang". It creeps me out.

Sorry about using the word 'dang.' I blame it on the last vestiges of the self-imposed political correctness fits.

I sure as heck won't be saying dang on this forum any longer! :)

To get back to Tim's original intent, hospitals are also good places to take a guitar and just play.

Right you are Paul!

I was in a "Singing Band" that sang/played throught the Hospital halls. They allowed us to go into ICU and the Dr. on the floor called us over to one room. There was an 11 year old little boy lying in a coma. The Dr. said pleas play something lively! So, we played 2 or 3 up-tempo songs. When we turned to leave, I noticed the little boy's eyes were cracked open. He was starting to emerge from the coma! Such can be the power of music!
