| Hello,
I've bought recently an Ultra Series model 1528 wich date I suppose about 10 years and made in Korea...but this guitar has a particulary look..!
It has a birdeyes maple top and I don't know if it's rare or not...!! If someone knows or as any informations on this kind of guitar, it'll be really welcome...
Thanks a lot for your answers...
DN  |

Have seen wonderful and not so wonderful things done with birdseye! Truly a leap of faith as an artistic medium sometimes. Use the search feature and post some pictures. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | It may be a faux-birdseye panelmaster. How they did some of that was take a bunch of maple veneers and get them wet. Lay them down on like a bunch of big BBs or marbles. Put glue between each layer and then press down hard. When dry reslice. Where the bumps are it looks like birdseye since you're cutting into the next layer or two of wood. A nice effect. |
