Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Tony, we were nervous about this one. Living in southern Louisiana you seem to always have an eye to the gulf during hurricane season. Ivan will be making landfall east of where I am. Looks like New Orleans will be missing the brunt of this storm also. The traffic here has been terrible, as many people passed through here as they flee from the storm. This has been one tough season so far, and it is only a little over the half way mark. With hurricane Jeanne out in the Atlantic with her eye on Florida, I sure will keep my eyes towards the Gulf of Mexico. |

There is one small silver lining in Ivan's Black Cloud- I haven't seen that stupid Scott Peterson's ugly smug mug on my TV for a few days.

I was at Eglin (Ft Walton Beach in mid 70's) when Frederick came in. |
