I've been sitting outside all day, consuming Coronas in various states of chilliness, and smoking some rather fine Fuente Gran Reserva's. Now, the weather isn't all that fantastic. In fact, it's rather overcast and looks like rain is imminent. It's humid, it's sticky and it's warm...what me Michiganders like to call 'muggy weather.'

So, you ask, what the heck is Cruster doing outside in sub-standard long-weekend-relaxing-with-his-feet-in-the-pool-weather drinking watery cerveza and smoking fine seegars? Well, my wife informed me last Wednesday (well, the Wednesday before last) that we're 'in the family way.' Having three sons already (14, 11 and 2), I'm hoping it's not a girl, but will be happy with either gender, as long as it's healthy. :) This is the first opportunity I've had to contemplate the news properly and I must say...whoohoo! :)

Oh, and you guys know before our families, so keep it quiet, eh? I think I'm going to find a lime...

:D

Glad to hear it!

What makes you think you don't deserve to have a girl? Could it be you've figured out how to work the boy's and you're not ready to change the game plan?

God does have a sense of humor! Could be interesting!

Peace

Thanks for the well wishes!

Brad- Quiet? With three boys it's anything but quiet around here. :) I suppose maybe it's quiet in a relative way.

Woody- Deserve a girl? HA! Everyone knows they're more expensive and more trouble. :) Actually...recalling what I was like as a sixteen year old, I think having a girl would be, uh...trying. ;)

Congratulations!!

I raised two of each and my youngest girl is now over 40, two boys first and two girls next, they each have their good and trying times but you deserve both as life should give you the chance to experience as much as possible.

Regardless, if its 4 boys, you'll never need a shotgun when they become teenagers just a two by four to get their attention.

We had four kids before birth control pills, I won't even speculate on the modern way.

Congrats! I suspect that there's nothing more important that having and raising kids I've got a boy who's 10 and a girl who's almost 13 (going on 35 -- at our house PMS now means "Paul Must Suffer") and they are both wonderful.

Boy or girl? As soon as it's born, it won't make any difference. You'll just wonder how you survived without it.

Congrats. I just dropped my youngest off for her first year of college. It leaves me with a lot of mixed emotions. In hind sight, I'm sorry we didn't have more children because the house will be kind of empty. Then again ... more room for guitars.

Congratulations.

...Maybe a female vocalist to complete a potential family line up in an Ovation playing band???? :)

Cheers!

Thanks (again) to all. Female vocalist. Hrmm. Hadn't thought of that. Oldest son is self-teaching guitar, middle son is taking up drums. Figure I need a bass and keyboard player and I'll be all set. :)
