Looking at Musicians Friend's web site, the 1867 looks to be on closeout, in otherwords, when their gone, there will be no more. Is Ovation now focusing on LX's only?

general consensus is that eventually all ovations will incorporate the LX technology. as to the time frame when this will happen-nobody really knows. at the factory tour in march, we were told that they had no plans for shallow bowl lx's. If you have your heart set on a shallow bowl, they most likely would be treated as a special order.
I would think that their are still some shallow bowl models out there that have yet to be sold.
If Musicians friend is closing out their stock, their are still more places to get one from.

Not quite right. The factory said that they weren't going to sell supershallow bowls in the U.S. There were some supershallow bowl LX's spotted that were going to the overseas market.

I stand corrected. Thanks Moody.
