Everyone knows that -4 is the only finish that really matters. Everything else is just...un-natural.

-1, -2, -4, -5 those always work.
Some blues are OK especially when they don't fade to grean. Green, it don't work for me.

I'll vote for John Lawrence's custom blue Balladeer LX....it's the cat's meow!!!! Ann Wilson of Heart has a Balladeer 12-string in a similar, if not the same, color.

Used to be a nice Adamas/Ovation color chart at:
www.modernmusic.co.uk/acoustics/ovation/ov_colour.htm

Now it appears that it isn't listed. Anyone know of another link?

I thought REAL Les Pauls were gold?

w-2: So Cadillac Green is not one of your favorite, huh?

Paul Wag's Blue Sparkle Legend looks GREAT. Check it out in the photo gallery.

I was going to mention the Blue Sparkle

~~~I used to think anything not a natural finish was crazy. Now I like 'em all except green. The red mandolin is very cool.
A guy, that played often at this open mic I used go to, had this Celebrity 6 string that had a pale pink body with a nasty barbie pink/magenta-ish burst around the edge It was a bit scary and quite nausiating...and I'm as liberal as they come when it comes to wild guitar colors. He insisted it was purple...but no, it was definitely pink-and far too pink-not even remotely close to the pinkest shade of lavender. It was just an effing gross pink burst ....and not a custom color (even scarier) either. I think even C.C. Deville of Poison would have passed on that one for being too flamboyant a guitar.
I could have forgiven his poor taste if it at least sounded good...but no. Nice guy though, and a really talented singer.
Next to THAT guitar, ALL of you would choose green without a second thought!
Johnny
I think that, referencing the band names thread, that 'The Plastic Applicators' should all probably play pink guitars...or pearl white. I'm not sure. But, they don't *have* to be Ovations. :)
Is *that* what they're singing? Man, all these years I've been going, like:
A white sport coat (sport coat)
And a piiink crustacean
All dressed up for the sand
er, or something like that.
(man I had to get up way early this morning...is it showing?)
I don't know which color I like best, but I just realized all of my acoustic guitars are natural.
I do know that natural is the best color for blending in the hole I dug in my cedar top Seagull (ala Willie Nelson) from getting too enthusiastic during Praise and Worship.
I found this site and did this before I did the same to my other guitars.
