Thanks Cuz,
I saw the show when it originally aired. It's really good and Melissa is playing her Adamas as usual and it sounded great.

If some of the OFC Members have not seen it, It is a Must Watch! Melissa Does a version of Dolly's hit Jolene. It's really a great show.

Too bad this message forum does not display the number of views per thread like some do. I'll bet the subject line will cause this one will set a record. LOL!

I like the original topic! But I'm kinda twisted that way! Must've been the time spent with Uncle Otto when I was younger. ;)

With all due respect, for the most part, IMHO I thought this was an aweful show. I liked the Heart-Judd crossroads, but this one was not a good match at all.

I have a lot of respect for Dolly as a person and musician, though I'm not a fan by any means. She has surely made a mark in country music history, and I recently read she has written some 3,000 songs. I appreciate her honesty and integrity. She is truly very talented.

Still, hearing her sing Melissa's songs was like hearing Slim Whitman sing Metalicca. It just didn't work. Melissa did a great job on the Dolly tunes (Yes, Steve...Jolene was great), but perhaps Dolly fans would disagree-I wouldn't know, as I didn't know the tunes. But, I couldn't watch the whole thing. It was a little scary.

I had it taping in the next room, and every once in a while I had to really cringe. Not quite sure what they were thinking on this pairing.

Johnny
