Have never seen him. I'm looking forward to this show. I have his Premonition DVD -- EXCELLENT! Should be a good show!

C.C. REVISITED was here last week. I would not go if it was free. Fogerty was that whole sound. Your show should be a great.
That said, one of the best VH1 Behind the Music shows as about CCR. Off stage Fogerty seems like a real S.O.B.

I'm not much a Mr. Frogtree fan, but I guess I'd have an attitude also if I had hit songs that even other artists were allowed to record and make them hits again, but I had to buy back my own titles to be able to play them.

Actually, for me it WAS free and I didn't go....my wife and I bought a concert "series" this summer at the theater where Brad mentioned and they sent us 4 free passes to CCRevisited for both Saturday and Sunday nights.....

I read a biography of CCR, and there is enough angst in that band and its members to fuel a lifetime of hatred. John couldn't even bury the hatchet with his brother on his deathbed.

The whole thing with the crummy contract that CCR signed with Fantasy should be a lesson to all young artists to READ your contract before you sign it.

Rather than start a new topic, I thought I continue this one. Saw Fogerty Saturday night. The venue sucked, but he was top-notch. His voice was right on, and the music sounded like you were listening to the record.

I must say,m though, that on one chorus of Bad Moon Rising, he did sing... "There's a bathroom on the right..."

CCR is also touring with elliot easton of the cars on guitar. Funny but it just dosen't make a whole lot of sense to me. I have met elliot a couple of times when he was based in NY and he seemed like a nice guy.

The review in the Ft. Worth "Startle-Gram" for the Dallas show was a thumbs up. He's finally playing some of the CCR songs....

Where was the show, Hizzoner?

I saw the original Creedence Clearwater Revival back in 1970 when I was a mere lad. They were great and my three chord garage band liked them since they had easy chords, music and lyrics.

So, thirty five years later my new three chord garage band still loves them! LOL But you are right John Fogerty is the sound and feel of the original CCR. I remember Tom Fogerty left to pursue a solo career and for other reasons...that was a long lasting thing....lol....and later passed away a number of years back. Only a few months later in July 1972 after Tom left they broke up. A band legend in my opinion. Play On!

Paul Wag: Saw Fogerty at The Backyard.

He really is in top form! I don't mind helping him pad his IRA.

Wonder if he's coming to NC anytime on this tour?
It would be a great show to see.
By the way Hizz, Glad you enjoyed the show!
