I've been searching the Internet for stores that would sell guitar saddles. So far, I found saddles for other makers (e.g. Takamine, Larrivee, Martin, etc.), but not for Ovations. Where can I purchase it? |

I took up the challenge of finding one of those Ovation Saddle and shim kits on Al Gore's internet.
Went down in flames.
I remember buying said kits for the non-electric thin line saddle in about 1980 or so.

Location: Hicksville, NY | I tried to contact customer service, and pretty much, the response I got was to go to the merchant where I purchased the instrument from. I did that too, but the shop owner told me that it would take another 3-4 weeks before it will arrive (he could not make any promises), and he would not tell me where he buys the saddle from.
Anyway ... so much for my stupidity. I decided to "lower" the action on my balladeer by filing the saddle, in addition to making adjustments with the truss rod. The results were fantastic - really! Unfortunately, I knew that I messed up big time, when the low E, A, and D strings on the guitar could not be amplified when plugged in. The saddle was filed to the point that it was no longer making contact with the undersaddle pickup.
*sigh* I guess I'll have to wait for another four weeks (or so) ... I really do appreciate your efforts in trying to solve my dilemma. Thanks.
Peace!
