Tony, following my lead is low risk. Just don't follow the lead of playadamas. That one has serious consequences.
Speaking of Tenor Uke - does anyone have experience with octave G tuning (standard) vs. low G tuning (use wound classical D string) ??? |

Common Tenor Ukulele Tunings
"C" tuning "G" Tuning "D" tuning
A (440 Hz) E (329.6 Hz) B (493.9 Hz)
E (329.6 Hz) B (246.9 Hz) F# (370 Hz)
C (261.6 Hz) G (192 Hz) D (293.7 Hz)
G (196 Hz) D (293.7 Hz) A (220 Hz) |

Location: Phoenix AZ | What I mean is - most people tune their tenor ukes as follows (low to high):
G (196), C (261.6), E (329.6), A (440)
What I was asking was, does anyone know about tuning it like this:
G (98), C (261.6), E (329.6), A (440)
I have read that guys who do this tuning use a wound 4th string (G), which is actually a D string from a classical set of strings. |

Location: Fayetteville, NC | the treker floating around the OFC Tour sounded pretty good. I was impressed. I'm thinking of getting one to keep around for when my oldest boy turns 6 or 7 to see if he wants to learn to play. I figure the size would fit him perfectly for learning purposes. |
