Location: Rocky River, Ohio | Cool site...I've been out of the guitar playing hobby for quite a few years, but back in the early to mid 90's they called me Ernie Kaman at the old Music City North in North Olmsted Ohio.. I probably owned and traded and selled about 20 different Ovation guitars and was even treated to a personal tour at the factory in late 95 when they were producing the 96 collector's series, they even let me shoot 2 rolls of film!!..I even took my sunburst 1758 and took a picture of it standing outside of the building to mimick the picture on the back of the owner's manual of the time...pretty cool..
I only have a few left, (if my signature has the models on the bottom, this is my 1st post)...
One was a custom odered Adamas II 12. I liked the Adamas I red better than the II, so I ordered a custom painted II with the I paint job...
Looking back, I always loved the look of the carved bridge and headstock of the 1687 and 1688...No cutaways, I loved the epaulets without the cutaway..
Anyway, been trying to locate a 6 and 12....Would like the 12 to be red and the 6 can be either blue or beige..
Where does one find one these days? Noticed a lot of Janapense shops on the web have them, but would rather not risk it...perhaps someone on the forum....I always kind of had a thing for the Thunderbolts too, don't ask me why...Had a new red and a new white one...got rid of those too..oh well, I wish I wouldn't have sold a ton of stuff I used to own..
Anyway, hope to be hearing from someone...Is it me or does anybody else dislike the rosettes they've been putting on the Legends for the last few years...I like the old style better...

| Yep Talk with Al Pep! If there out there he gets them! I got my 1587-7 from him. Nice guy to deal with and he knows his stuff! Sometimes he makes bad shirt choices though? Got my 1688-7 on Ebay they come up from time to time. I too liked the non cutaway's I was thrilled to get the 12 string in this fashion and it is the older beige blue reverse burst color. I went with the cutaway for the 6 because of the playability? I don't need the higher neck stuff to much on the 12 but I play a lot of songs where the non cut 6 would be difficult so this was the very next best thing! And It looks great to! You get used to it! Location: 6 String Ranch | Like all things that are old and rare, you just gotta keep looking, here, fleebay, get on the want lists of dealers, elderly and others. Bookmark a bunck of dealers who have the Vintage stuff and check them frequently. Subscribe to Vintage Guitar Bullitin.

| Ernie I was looking on ebay for one that I saw a few weeks ago? It did not get a bid his price was way to high? Checkout auction # 3728361391 Just type it in on the advanced search page you can contact him through his sellers list if he has one? I'll bet at a fair price of $2,000-$2,200 you can buy this one it is Red like I think you wanted?
