That's Icedeartheric's ticket uptown baby!

It belongs in the Ebay Hall of Fame for Poor Dissillusioned Fools (PDF).

That's why it is so important that we educate these people wherever we find them! they can't help themselves.

[ /QUOTE]

I laughed, I cried, I crapped my pants...no wait, that was someone else...and they did it on the top of that 'guitar.' Man, what is up with those O knockoffs?

Is the patent up on the roundback? :p

This is so bad that I like it.
Ovation has a trademark but that's only good if they inforce it and it's only for the dead on knockoffs. This clearly is not a copy of an Ovation. It is of the Ovation concept but that isn't covered by copyrights. It really has that Jetsons look. The epalettes need to be much tackier, these look too close to being good. If this was in some loud color, sparkle color it would be great!! Maybe with the old Thunderbolt soundholes. If this was closer to the Di Pino solid bodies I'd buy it in a flash.

You may be on to something there. I was bottom fishing for used Hamer's (Shecters, Epiphones, Gibsons, Fenders, Yamahas, Samicks, etc., etc., etc...it's a disease, OK?!?!) on eBay a while ago and saw a 'project' standard that someone had painted with auto metal-flake. It was in that color changing stuff that looks green from one angle and purple from another. Very nice. Right..uh, as I was saying...

It might easily sound every bit as good as a F*nder Telecoustic. If so, it might give crap a bad name.

Thanks Al, I meant that he should have input into the design of this mess and they should use one of his paint jobs.
This guitar comes under the category of: when you see it you love it, you buy it and take it home, and a month later as it hangs on the wall looking at you you think "What was I thinking that day??!!??"

You do have to hand it to the guy, though. The guitar in question does bear a striking resemblance to a Balladeer ;)

That white beady smile and those nefarious eyes... staring, no, glaring at you!

Evil, I tell you! Evil, but cheap.

Kinda Interesting. Not sure if it's something I'd buy. But it's neat ..in a sort of twisted way.

I know its wrong to copy an Ovation like that, but I really don't see it as that big of a deal. It's just like all of the companies that copy the Fender Pbass. The people who buy them are the ones who only really want it for the looks, and dont care how it plays. Those people arent going to be the people who pay for a genuine Ovation. It's not like its taking the business away. There is nobody who really wants an O but settles for that. The people who really want an Ovation arent going to settle for anything but an Ovation

Good Point Angelo. It's been said in previous posts that there are some that are convinced that they just don't like ovations. and ther's probably nothing we can do to change their minds. On the other hand there are those who think they don't like them, but once they hear them and play them for the very Firat time..they'r eSold.
As Far as this item is concerned, it's not really a copy, looks like they just borrowed on some ideas.
