Music 1-2-3 has a drawing for a new Godsmack autographed Ovation. Looks like a Legend (?) But anyway I received the announcment via their e-mail ads and entered the contest. Looks like a good guitar that could appreciate. If it's free what the hell. You can never ever have too many Ovations. Play On!

But do you think you could get the marker off of it?

It looks like a Legend natural finish.

That's what I thought...if I win it I have to find a way to get the marker off without ruining the finish...

At least on the older, thicker finish - use can use solvent designed to take off Super Glue. Gotta believe a home cleaner would take it off. I got the tip from Kim. Got in a 1669 CL with Super Glue/CyA on the top - removed the glue with no effect on the older finish. Don't know about neck and headstock.

On white boards, when someone uses a permanent marker instead of dry-erase - just go over it with the dry-erase, takes it off. Would probably work on this one.

Maybe it's just me, but if I won it, I would then sell it for twice the street price to a die-hard Godsmack fan and if I liked the guitar, buy a new one for myself.
