They appeared in Cruces on Wednesday, and I didn't go to see them but the following quote from the paper's revue is of interest:

"Cronin,...strapped on a 12 string acoustic for "Time For Me to FLY" before playing one of the band's most sugary pop hits, 1985's Number 1 single "I Can't Fight This Feeling".

Cronin and Amato played a collection of classic guitars, from an array of Ovation acoustic electrics to Amato's arsenal of Les Pauls..."

Unfortunately there were no pictures of them playing the Ovations, but I thought you all might find it interesting.

Oh my gosh Bailey,
I'm really betraying my age when I say that the very first record I ever bought with my own money was REO Speedwagon's 'High Infidelity' when I was all of 10 years old! It was albeit in the form of a cassette but still.. Kevin Cronin's voice of "Keep On Lovin' You" had me rollin' on skates long before Roller Blades had been invented here in the great state of Minnesota....
Thanks for bringing up the memories and keep the funny and interesting anecdotes coming from New Mexico!

The reviews were generally very good for the concert, we all have our memories and experiences, and the musical ones are what make us what we are.

I'll be damned, when I came here, Tom's Roller Rink was still around, I never went there and it disappeared years ago. It was. as I remember, right behind the Fedmart that I had a contract to clean and buff the floors with my janitorial business that I had for a while. I had the interesting experience of having to clean up a massive mess when the Fedmart roof collapsed during a heavy rain. That's when I came to resent the German's, as they had bought the store and their manager never paid me for that cleanup even though we worked almost 48 hours straight to get them back open (he kept insisting it was part of the contract). They went out of business as they should. All of those buildings are gone.
