Location: Michigan | I was crawling around a website where they have 2 different 1771LX guitars, new of course that differ by hundreds of $. Both look identical, same specs but one has printed "LXC" on one line.
I downloaded the pdf file from Ovation and I see the 1771LX with a list price of $999.00 but don't see the 1771LXC with a list price of $1649.00 ???
Thanks

Location: South of most, North of few | I just saw a C778, which is a custom 1778LX and has abalone trim around the top. Don't know what the LXC would be. I think they change the designations every time they do a shift change. |

Location: Tennessee | I'm a sicko. I know that already. But I have to tell you ... I do like the CCB. A lot. It is without doubt a signature Ovation color ... especially (and only) on Elite style guitars. It is instantly recognizable as an Ovation color. I have two CCB guitars, and the more I look at them the more I love them. More than a traditional sunburst. But I will admit that CCB would look horrible on any other guitar. But with a black bowl, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and binding with the red stripe in it, it makes for a very elegant guitar. And the finish is very well done and you can still see all the grain in the top except at the very edges.
Now, on the other hand, that BCB does absolutely nothing for me. |

but looking at birddogs pastes, the C does look like the cherryburst model. |

Wouldn't you know of course one person blames the other that is in charge of updating the website.
FRG she says. I said I didn't see it said that anywhere. I said the Ovation MSRP retail price is $999, Nowhere is there one for 1649.00 retail.
Then there was a lot of Yada yada prior to Fender yada yada.
I said you answered my questions thank you, goodbye.
