Definitely suspicious. Particularly the part about the "thingy" on the headstock. :D

I'd be curious to see real pics, and find out how this guy got it.

Actually on 3-4 are no longer registered users. They just bought like 10 items each.

It is the China Scam.

It is well documented on ebay, they have some links in the Security area.

I would guess at least half of them.

the problem is the seller is misrepresenting products

I'll bet all the people in China are saying the same things about the U.S. All the things we make have to be going somewhere. (except the Ovations, lets keep most of them here!)

It's a scam. If you had a friend in Beijing, who could look at it, and I'm sure the seller wouldn't let you look, you'd find it was a fake. If you want a fake go ahead. Besides if something went wrong, how would you fix it? At least if you buy from let's say, Canada or New Jersey, you theortically write letters to the authorities or actually go there and find the guy. If you think you can find him in China ... ain't going to happen.

It is either "the end result will be extremely expensive" or "she is a high priced Hooker".

I need to brush up on my Mandarin Pirate jargon...

Yes, the guitar, she is expensive. The problem with chinese is that they don't get to the point, you always have to understand context. English is much more precise.

No, don't get me wrong, I wasn't born yesterday. I would never bid on something from china, other than a simple electronic piece for a couple of bucks. I posted this for the entertainment value. I wouldn't think you could hope of obtaining that gui---tar for that amount of cash, or yen or whatever. I think the generic picture is a good indication that it really isn't real. (and the "thingie" on the neck) Plus, as was stated by another observer, if you check this guy's feedback, it is rather questionable, with most of the people no longer registered users. It is just really funny to me how some people try in such incompetent ways to take money from others. (and yet, sometimes succeed) This practice has really run rampant on the Overstock.com auction site. That place is full of vipers of all sorts (not the guitar) that are just itching to part you and your money without receiving anything.
