This time of year can be especially hard for them. They are at risk of serious depression and a simple friendly visit or a complicated musical program can work wonders in their lives. Take your guitar and other musical friends and play for them. It can be the most rewarding "gig" you'll ever play! Contact the Activities Director at a local Convalescent Home and give it a try! A Single guitarist/singer or a large group (mine has 8 children playing/singing as well as 6 adults) is a very special treat for the Residents. Try it... you'll like it and THEY will be blessed! ![]()

I'd hate for them to think it's Official OFC Headgear.... ....but, on second thought....

So, it turns out that even the JiffyPop hat is a Government Conspiracy!!! but, back to topic: Do a Rest Home Gig!!!

Evey group I have worked with both in the US and Canada has taken the time to share our music with those confined to health care facilities. I have worked a couple of prison gigs also. We did a gig at a women's prision a number of years ago. All of our gear was put in a secure area inside the front gate. The second gate was then opened up to allow us to move our stuff to the stage. This very large female inmate offered to help us move our gear. No problem. She put my Twin Reverb, loaded with very heavy JBL's "under her arm" and took my guitar case under the other. They were a captive audience though..............
