I've used Ovations for over 20 years onstage as well as recording. I now have a late '90's 1869 Custom Legend and have become disappointed in the preamp tone. I like a brighter sound like the Baggs or Fishman systems I've played on Taylors, Seagulls, Martins, etc. Assuming you play through a full range acoustic amp or PA system, are there any tricks you folks can share to make my roundback sound brighter with more presence live? Thanks in advance. BTW, my guitar has the OP-24 circuit with the chromatic tuner with four EQ controls.
