Is it just me? I borrowed some air locks to plug the treble holes on my 1537 (and also tried them on Big Blue, my Adamas I 12). I couldn't tell any difference at all in the sound between using them and not using them.

Completely depends on the guitar (and thanks for the public acknowledgement of how nice it was for me to send my airlocks to you). Like I told you on the phone before I sent them, they did NADA on my 1537. But on Adamas II and an Elite SS 12-string which were the guitars I used to use the AL's on most frequently, the effect was very significant. It really brought out a string bass response. Dave
