Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | For acoustic I like 1 11/16ths, oil finish and baseball bat like, I guess that's the soft v. But I'll play anything. My favorite electric neck is 24.75 scale, 1 5/8 wide and shallow c shaped with a compound radius. Oil or gloss. Ibanez-like.
For nylon string I like the gloss finish, 1 7/8, flat c. Differnt necks for different things. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I'll vote for gloss. You can always rub it down with 0000 steel wool or coarser if you want that. The other two questions are straight forward. |

Location: NJ | Since I didn't see Julianne Moore listed in any of the choices, I went "middle of the road" on all of 'em . . .
I don't really HAVE a "preferred" neck.
If it's GOT a neck, I'll play it. |

Location: SE Michigan | I never gave the matter much thought. I had to go look at my favorite guitars and they have a gloss finish neck. I guess finish isnt that big of a deal.
I definately would prefer a 1 11/16 nut though, I can play the wider neck but prefer the narrower one. |
