Location: East Wenatchee, WA | I did it on my 1537 and on my W597. No adverse effect whatsoever. I left a couple in the 2080 for now, but may pull another one out of there soon too as while the action is lower, you gotta wonder how low can it go. |

Ok...
Any problems with buzzing?
Loss of voume (un-plugged)?
Things of that nature?
Both shims removed?
Just one shim removed?
...
Does it really make the saddle lower?...lol |

Location: PDX | Buzz MAY develop -- never know until you pull 'em out. You can ease up on the truss rod a bit and that might take the buzz out.
Reduction in break angle always comes with the cost in reduction of volume and tone. Enough to make a significant difference? Who knows -- you decide.
The good thing about it is, if you don't like the results you can always put them back in.
Just my 2 cents (and i expect change!)

Location: Townsville, Australia | I''m down to one thin one on a 1778T OFT and it plays beautifully with no loss of tone, or maybe it's just beautiful in slightly different way.
Had to ease the truss a bit at first anyway maybe the different climate from where I bought in the US, central north I think; so temperate and dry to hot and humid when it came. |

Location: Pennsylvania | Thanks everyone.
I just took them both out, and had a bit of buzzing on the high E from the 12th fret up, so i put one back in. It made the action better, and no buzz. My neck looks right on the money as far as the releif goes, so i don't want to mess with it. The action was to spec to begin with, but i just wanted to see if i could get it a little lower without buzz.
Thanks again. |

Also, thanks for showing it off on the AGF (FTGF) Board. I would like to put one in Koaguitarman's hands and see what he thinks. :D :D :D |
