Think there is only 24 units in the world. This WE was great ! You can see beautiful guitars, but trust me, people was very sympathic ! Mwoody, you've got a good eye !! ;)

"MD" for Marcel Dadi because it's a signature model built in july 1979 under Marcel specifications. Wide Neck, ash top, the body seems to be Mahogany, fretboard in ebony and a Slothead like most of Marcel's guitars. Only 24 models were produced (+ 2 protos) all in "Green Olive" color. You can see more pics HERE J :)

I had to keep handing people guitars just so I could try something else. As Jerome shows, there are many excellent Ovations out there. I have almost 1/2 acre lot, most of it in the backyard and a cabin with a few hundred acres of forest out back if anyone wants to make the next Gathering over here. Can't compete with gh1's beautiful landscaping, except we have lots more space. It would be nice to try to rival Jerome's pictures.

You know how much I love O's and it will be so great to see such pics from other gathering. I just posted some pics of a unique Adamas pre-onwed by Marcel Dadi: ADAMAS 1687-X This guitar is very popular in France and we called it "La Citron" (The lemon) because of the yellow color. It's so rare to see this guitar (in a private collection) and I'm so glad to share these pics with you. I've heard that this model is probably one of the first Adamas I cutaway. Is it true???? J :)

Yes, philmax, that was a challenge, but I wasn't thinking of the Southeast group at the time. I was thinking about those guys around Jersey that can't seem to drive across town to get together, much less those little tiny states they have back there.

Tell me, . . . does your wife allow you periodic "visitation" with your gonads, or are they permanently locked away in a safe deposit box??

Never knew Ovation made anything like this?? Or are they somekind of a custom order?? Man what a beautiful shot of ovation guitars. Randy

There was one guitar that caught my eye because you never see them. It was a Gibson Studio Classic. This is a nylon string guitar that Gibson built for about 15 years at Chet Atkins insistance. The design was licensed from Kirk Sand of Laguna Beach. I watch for them on ebay, but they never show up.

I am guessing that the 1881 that I sent to Arnaud is in the back left of the 1st pic. Hard not to see that beautiful deep red finish. Yes i was so proud to show and play the nice SSB red Adamas on stage. GEC 2006 edition was fantastic. Now i make you a promise, during next event like this one, i will ask for a place on the front line. ;) Miles Viper EA63 was here too, but same problem she was more than half hidden by another guitar on the photograph !!!
