Location: Oregon | The only (working)amp I have is a Fender DeVille. Very big and not fun to lug around. So, I have been looking at small amps for a while. I don't want to get another of my old Fender Frontman 15G, because they have an annoying warm up buzz. But I mught have to.
So my question is; Are there other good 15-25 amps, besides fender?
BTW Please no Vox suggestions. I want one so bad but refuse to pay $6000 for a 2watt :rolleyes: |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Sorry, 72, but I did a bunch of research on small amps a couple years ago before buying the Fender Frontman 15G for my daughter (not the one in Portland). At the time, I thought it was the best little amp for the money. Behringer and Crate have come out with some amps since that have some nice features, but I haven't compared them to the sound of the Fender. You are much better on electric guitar than I am, so I'd head down to GC and try several of them out if I were you. |

Behringer and Crate have come out with some amps since that have some nice features, but I haven't compared them to the sound of the Fender. or a Vox AC 15
or a Fender Deluxe
Of the three, the Traynor is the most durable and is regularly found on eBay for $400-450. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | I would also suggest Roland Cube 15 and Kustom Tube 12. I have the Kustom and like it, but it does lack reverb and effects; I intend to get a Roland Cube 30X when it becomes available in a couple of months (I like the amp models and on-board effects....I already have a Roland MicroCube).

Location: Tennessee | Check out a Fender Blues Junior or the Epiphone Valve Special (both are all tube 15 watt with 12" speakers). I lean towards the Fender but the Epiphone is very nice for small money. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I was assuming you were talking about something in the same price range as the Fender 15 (about $125). You may have to go quite a bit higher than that to get a better 15 watt amp. |

Location: East Wenatchee, WA | I can't speak to their guitar amps, but I have been pleased for many years with Carvin's electronics.
I have owned their speakers and a couple of poweramps, that are clean, powerful and cheap.
They allow you a 10 day in home trial so if you don't like it you are out the shippinig, but might be worth a try. Carvin |

Location: Port Angeles, WA | I have a Fender Frontman 25R that I think highly of for a small amp. No buzz, good reverb, plenty of volume. Don't sound like my long gone Fender Twin Reverb from the 70s, but it was a lot cheaper. |

Location: cincinnati, ohio | It's probably way more power than you want (60 watts)and runs about $450 street, but Roland makes the AC60 Acoustic Chorus amp. It small and weighs about 20 lbs. Two channels (vocal and guitar) with combo inputs (will accept eith 3-pin XLR or 1/4" male); phantom power switch; chorus, reverb, delay, 3-band EQ. Lots of punch-- I've played everything from small rooms to medium-sized halls with it, and piggybacked it into a PA system to play in an outdoor ampitheater. Thing I love most about it is its small size and light weight. I used to use a Peavey Ecoustic 112. Great amp, but it was about as big as a Twin and weighed @ 80 lbs. A real back-breaker. This is MUCH better from a hauling standpoint, and has as much power and tone as the Peavy. |

| YMMV, but the VOX DA15 is pretty cool. I actually like it better than the AD15T or the Pathfinder 15R. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think the local GC still has a small Trace Elliot. I should have bought it while my buddy was giving me his last day at work deal. I think they wanted $299 for it, but it's been there awhile so I'm sure they'd deal. Nice acoustic amps. |

Other Rick, :D That amp is awesome!! Very entertaining. But actually I did give a Pignose some thought. I'd love to be able to take it somewhere, like school. |

Yeah this fact disturbs me. I mean, it's only a 15 watt amp. If it was knighted by the Queen of England, maybe.... Haha or maybe I'am just too cheap for the ever more expensive music industry? Location: Maryland, USA | Actually dude, I don't know what you're thinking of when it comes to Vox, but a Vox hybrid valve 100watt costs around $450, which is a great price, they're smaller ones only get less expensive from there. |
