Location: North Carolina | I was laying down some acoustic tracks yesterday and I could not tame the boxiness of my Taylor or Martin. I'm sure an engineer could do it in a second, but I'm just a guy with the equipment I have. It turns out the guitar that sounded the most "guitarry" was my workhorse 12 year old 1869 with a touch of delay and reverb. I suppose the wood boxes are great for sitting around in a song circle, but when ya wanna plug in and get it done, on stage or in the studio, I'll take the Ovie. |

Location: GA USA | Whenever I lead worship I always get a "that guitar just rings". I think part of my success is that I sneak back to the soundboard and turn down my midrange. On the board, I put the high and low at 3:00 and the mids at 9:00. Then if I want mid, I use my preamp. |

Location: cincinnati, ohio | I've got a humble little old 1971 Balladeer with a Fishman Natural II pickup. When I record, I blend the signal with a mic and just a touch of chorus and reverb. It's about as acoustic-sounding as you can get. After 35 years of aging, that spruce top has as nice an acoustic voice as any wooden guitar I've ever heard. |

Location: Chehalis, Washington | I can testify to that. I'd play with guys with wood boxes and in groups with a lot of piano stuff, but I always got the "that sounds beautiful" (the guitar, not the playing) when I played my 1869 plugged. If for no other reason, THAT is why Ovation is the best all-around guitar. When it comes to performance, you can't beat it. |

Location: chicago | I play out alot with my partner who plays a 30 something year old legend I play my elite and find if we both cut the midrange way down we can dig into upper register notes and get the same bite that we do any where else ont he neck.We play ala DiMeola McLauphlin stuff and the combo of two Os can not be rivaled!
