How many times can this guy list the same guitar?

The Ultimate Ovation Classical

At least he's getting closer to actual value territory now...

Are people really that crazy?

(never mind, dumb question)

well, you know it is a great guitar and worth it...someone may want it for his or her collection.

all of our O's are worth more (as far as quality) than what we have to pay for them.

maybe better that the world doesn't appreciate them ;)

I agree with Tony. In the grand scheme of things what you get from an Ovation for the money (sound quality, electronics, durability, playability) is an absolute bargin. For those of us that use and collect them, that's great. But as a seller it really sucks. With all due respect, this seller is going to end up getting about $500. the guitar. Great for the buyer, bad for the seller. In 1972 I had the opportunity to get my first "good" electric guitar. Mom agreed to pay for 1/2 of it. I was torn between, for the same price, a sunburst Les Paul and a nutmeg Thunderhead. I chose the Ovation (which I believe now resides with Tony, small world). I never regretted passing on the Gibson until it came time to sell a few years ago. $400. vs. $2000.

Dave

PS - On a related thought. I mentioned above what a BARGIN Ovations are. So why don't more people buy them instead of Taylors and Martins? The answer is that a lot of people are NOT looking for a bargin. In a fine high end instrument they just want what appeals to them and sounds the best to them. "It sounds the same or almost as good for 1/3 the price" isn't going to change their minds. Even if the Ovation sounds BETTER, a lot of people have their minds and hearts set on a certian brand name and that's it.

Well Dave, if you wanna sell some solidbody Ovations with a good money, we have to get some aspiring 'metal heads' ;) to play one and get a video on heavy rotation on MTV. I guess this little manouver could earn a 100% rise in the prices on eBay ;)

It's exactly like my non-special ordered, bought off the wall, mint for $375. But I didn't get a case. Great guitar. I'm very proud of mine, but not that proud.

Umm... I guess that's a language and cultural bareer, but what does Jay Leno have to do with Jackass?

But no, no cable nor dvb operator offers NBC here unfortunately. So no Leno here. And, sadly, no Conan. Can't watch any NBA games for free and only a few if i pay. The only thing i can watch is CNN. But who'd like to be fed with lies all day long?

Some people (myself included, I'll admit) think that Leno IS a jackass.

The only redeeming factor is that Leno is one of the few remaining funny ones around. The others are all just a bunch of jackasses with no redeeming qualities...

...kind of like CNN.

Yeah, but don't read into anyone using a BIN. After the past two weeks, I've learned not to take ANYTHING for granted...
