I am offering for sale a like-new 2008 ovation elite 2078T with OP-PRO, OHSC. $500 plus shipping (actual costs, fully insured to USA location) from central Missouri.

I'll accept a check or money order or paypal, provided the buyer pays the additional fees.

Contact me by PM if you are interested! I'll take a few pictures that I can send your way, and I'll post them here in this thread.

Bump! Still have the black, USA-made Elite T for sale. About two years old, but really in like new condition. I'll take $450 plus shipping in CONUS from 65203 zipcode.

FYI, I bought two of them when they sold out the USA models. I'm offering for sale the one that has barely even been played. Like new condition.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Thanks!

Otto

Yeah, I was really impressed with the consistency of tone (and the accuracy of intonation) on every string all the way up the fingerboard. I think Ovations generally benefit in that regard from the bowl versus a traditional back and sides, but the epaulets rather than center hole also help some, I think. Obviously, I like them, too, since I'm keeping one!

Cheers,

Otto

Back to the 2078T.

Will this model balance on your knee when sitting, without a strap? Or is it (even slightly) neck heavy?

Otto, got any pix or a link to them?

Steve:

Thanks for the question. The Elite T has the "contour" bowl and seems to balance on my knee as well as my (typical) Yamaha steel string. I tried several Ovations out when I bought them and these seemed much easier to deal with than the shallow bowl models and about like non-bowl guitars.

The guitar isn't easy to photograph, so I've included the link to the current model, which looks the same.

The only difference, I think, is that they moved Elite T production overseas.

Thanks again,

Otto

OK...so what's the difference between this model and the Sweetwater T model that's currently for sale on Ebay?...just the Epaulet?

Pretty Much...
Plus my Sweet T has a shiny, smooth black binding on the edges.
My 2078T does not.

(I specify MY Sweet T cuz others may be different)
