Auction number 250783450289 (I don't know how to post a link to it.
A small-hole 12 string, and it looks like a three-piece top.
The knucklehead drilled holes in the top for some kind of pickup.
It says the opening bid is $299.
Maybe somebody here could rescue it, I'm broke.

Serial # is 1939.
Waiting on some more info from him.
It'd be really nice to see it saved.

It always amazes me how some people will butcher up a nice guitar like that.

Though I am not endorsing what this person did - aka - the manner he did it - I can relate a little...he probably needed an acoustic electric - and this was the way s/he could get it done. I remember I needed better pickups on my Adamas than the original ones installed (needed them quieter - better EQ, and did not need stereo). The mother ship did a great job fitting an OP 24 - into Slothead 43. At the time it was great - improved the guitar - and it still works great (btw - I like the OP 24 - just the right blend of tonal flexibility with simplicity IMHO.) Yes - now that slotheads have moved into a collectors category - some would like the instrument to be totally original - but such is the price of a working musician's instrument. I'm guessing if I wanted to sell it - a few around here who have played it wouldn't balk at the OP 24 in it. $299 - pretty good price...but I don't need another 12 string...odds are it still sounds fine - and a little professional love - it'll look fine too. Call it like diving a 56 T Bird....some did not come with seat belts - but most have had them added.

BIN is $699. Probably knows what he's got.

He just added the BIN last night and posted a pic with some strato-knobbies on it.

Somebody must have told him;
"Dude, That is a 3-Plank Shiny-Bowl Ovation!
It is a piece of history that was worth about a Thousand dollahs before you butchered it
"
(I didn't send that message, but I thought it real hard)

If he knew what he HAD he wouldn't have drilled holes in it.
If he wanted an A/E Pacemaker he coulda sold that, bought a 1615 and had change left over.

And NONE of you would give him $349 for it either? There weren't no reserve!

(Notice I didn't bid neither)
