I confess, I'm not an electric player. I've tried them, but never really gotten comfortable playing them. Every once in a while though, I get the urge to try again, and come up short every time. Until now.

I've been interested in the epaulette-style Vipers for a while, but with my electric track record, was leery of springing big bucks for a USA one. So when I got the chance to try the Celeb version, I jumped on it. And I may be in trouble.....

This thing is pure fun to fiddle with. It plays just like my other 6-stringers and is even more comfy than an SSB! In short, I like it muchly. Seriously.

So why sell it?

1) I'm still fundraising for my factory repairs, and this one has whet my appetite enough to put the USA models on my radar, hence it's now expendable.

2) It developed, you guessed it, a finish crack. And I'm petty enough to be bothered by it.

The good news is that, other than the aformentioned finish crack, this little beaity is in great shape. It has a couple of miniscule imperfections in the finish that are too small to photo. That's it for the negatives.

The neck is straight with very slight fretwear. The action is very nice. The intonation is also good all the way up the neck. It's super comfortable to play either sitting or standing.

There are no issues with the pickup or preamp. In fact, I may look back at this guitar as the one responsible for a whole new obsession. For years, I've been happy with my little, second-hand Dean 20 watt amp. Since I've played this, I keep finding myself staring longingly at ads for Fender Acoustisonics, Genz Benz Shens, and Hartke AC-150s! (Frankly, this could be big trouble some day.)

I seriously LOVE fooling around with the sounds you can get from this little guitar! There's no other word to describe it but.....FUN!

So take a look at the pics. (There are a couple more on my ning HERE. ) Note the consecutive photos showing the finish crack area; it took quite a few attempts to get a photo to show it. Most of the time, it's invisible until the light hits it just right. It has ZERO affect on the playability or tone of this instrument.

I've put a fresh set of D'Addarios on it, and it comes with its surprisingly nice HSC which shows some scuffing but nothing major. (Truthfully, I prefer this type of case to Ovations plastic ones. I wish they were available for their roundbacks.)

I'm asking $395 + shipping OBO.

Thanks for looking!

This is one shot where I tried to show the finish crack. Can't see it at all.

But you can in this photo...

Hoo boy....

The high bidder apparently retracted with only a day left. Could be a chance to SERIOUSLY shark up a good deal here.
