I know how you feel. The winner of my recent auction for an '05 Collectors (and a new OFC member now) was almost apologetic when he contacted me with his shipping info. He couldn't believe he got it so cheaply.

'Tis TOUGH times to sell Ovations methinks.

Absolutely. I'm promising up to 10% back to OFC and I can't sell my beautifully rebuilt 1756 even to OFC members. I haven't been willing to put it on eBay because I can't stomach how low it might go for there. Bad market + an underappreciated maker = tough sell.

I love that little Chris adjustomatic, by the way.

Just a little ramble about the current Guitar Re-Sale Market...
I just bought an 1867 with case (might need electrical tweaking) for $337...
I also just bought another, newer, Draco with a case for $339.
I almost bid on Patch's '05C, and now I wish I had.
An 1157 Anniversary just sold for $330 and that just ain't right.
I have two guitars listed with 14 watchers and no takers.
One is a high dollar item, but one is the deal-of-the-week.

I say all that just to lament... How am I supposed to Finance My GAS?

I hovered over Ol' Faithful, just because I love misfits. Not that it was a misfit, but it had a checkered past.... well, you know what I mean. Someone else jumped on it though. Oh well. Right now $100 might as well have been $500.

Market is bad. I have a handful of guitars that I would be tempted to sell if I knew they would bring the market price of a couple years ago, but since that ain't gonna happen I'll just hang onto them.

The good news is that I've bought like 11 O's and A's in the past 6 months and I know I have less than $500 into the whole pile. (Keep in mind I am a member of the BFLG so a $22 AA-14 with a blown bridge is standard fare.)

Well, the fiasco ensues. I relisted the CC059 & the Academy, at larcenous levels. I may have a local buyer for the Pacemaker, and I'm making an insane deal on that one, too. Not that I'm desperate for $$$$; I'm just "on a mission".
So, check 'em out, if you like:

OK, I'm done. I listed 3 good instruments, for giveaway prices, and no bites. So, whether they are being played is irrelevant; they're staying put.
The Economy sucks green bananas.
BTW, I've kept Igor busy on a reanimation project- an A-braced, deepbowl, with a walnut-grafted-peghead, on a Matrix neck. Truly, BFLG. It may get electrified, too!

You did the best you could. My Daughter is enjoying the Artiste and before long the rest will find homes.

They're both KA-17's- one blue w/ aluminum fretboard, one blonde w/ rosewood fretboard.

A KA-17 with an aluminum board? Never seen one. I thought 14s were aluminum, 17s were wooden neck.

Yep, the aluminum neck is 1 7/8", just like the mahogany neck. 12-fretters.

Yep. The blonde one. Review this listing, and some earlier ones, for condition & pricing. Drop me a line!
