The winner of my recent auction for an '05 Collectors (and a new OFC member now) was almost apologetic when he contacted me with his shipping info. He couldn't believe he got it so cheaply. 'Tis TOUGH times to sell Ovations methinks.

I haven't been willing to put it on eBay because I can't stomach how low it might go for there. Bad market + an underappreciated maker = tough sell. 'Tis TOUGH times to sell Ovations methinks. I love that little Chris adjustomatic, by the way.

I just bought an 1867 with case (might need electrical tweaking) for $337... I also just bought another, newer, Draco with a case for $339. I almost bid on Patch's '05C, and now I wish I had. An 1157 Anniversary just sold for $330 and that just ain't right. I have two guitars listed with 14 watchers and no takers. One is a high dollar item, but one is the deal-of-the-week. I say all that just to lament... How am I supposed to Finance My GAS?

Someone else jumped on it though. Oh well. Right now $100 might as well have been $500. Market is bad. I have a handful of guitars that I would be tempted to sell if I knew they would bring the market price of a couple years ago, but since that ain't gonna happen I'll just hang onto them. The good news is that I've bought like 11 O's and A's in the past 6 months and I know I have less than $500 into the whole pile. (Keep in mind I am a member of the BFLG so a $22 AA-14 with a blown bridge is standard fare.)

I may have a local buyer for the Pacemaker, and I'm making an insane deal on that one, too. Not that I'm desperate for $$$$; I'm just "on a mission". So, check 'em out, if you like: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160447707487&ssP... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160447721364&ssP...

So, whether they are being played is irrelevant; they're staying put. The Economy sucks green bananas. BTW, I've kept Igor busy on a reanimation project- an A-braced, deepbowl, with a walnut-grafted-peghead, on a Matrix neck. Truly, BFLG. It may get electrified, too!
