There's a 3 plank Balladeer on eBay that looks pretty nice (not mine).

This one looks like a nice one.
This is one of the Originals.

That's a great deal at that price.

Hope somebody here can pick it up.
Nice photos too. WOW.

Seems the case and strap button are not original. Anyway, a great looking vintage Ovation.

+1
in this guitar the central spruce-blade looks off centre if you take for reference both bridge and the rosette either way.
However I would like to have the cash to get it :D

The reissue I had also had the center plank off center.

That makes the reissue all the more realistic

Added Barcus Berry pickup might explain non original strap button.

Mine K1111 RI does, too. I wondered if that was why mine was "Factory Reconditioned". It's the only thing I can find "wrong" with it.

Aha. This guy's luthier figured out the real reason behind the dreaded Ovation crack ... inadequate top bracing to support the string tension. So this one has an extra brace on the top.

You know this guitar has spent its life around Chicago ... in the description he calls it a "deep dish".

Ended.

I was sort of interested in that one but not for a grand.
