You know what they say about a guy with small hands. small gloves.....and he wants a skinny neck guitar. that, and being the loudest one at the guitar-pull are among the reasons I like Ovations. A folk-guitarist with R&R attitude, that's me. On a good day. So something Moody mentioned raving about some real player wailing on his 1773LX, it reminded me that I'm between nylon stringed guitars at the moment and waiting for an income tax refund. (the upside of a down year....) So, anybody got something interesting? Oh, post a price or get shut down? What can I get for $350US? (which, strangely, is as close to the same price CDN as when I was traveling in Europe and met the lovely Wendy from San Diego.....but that's another story.)

Without really planning it that way (or having your sage advice) over the last few years I've whittled down to one nylon classcial and one 12-string. They are great instruments (for me) for speciality applications. But bread an butter the good old 6 string steels get 99% of the use. Of course, there's the 8 nylon strung ukuleles.

All cracks are sealed and the surface is smooth. Nice artist from the South Baliwick. Comes with OHSC, $200 plus actual shipping. Willing to trade up, down or over.

Actually, I have a repaired CC-059, shallowbowl-cutaway, with an OP-11 Brother Woody kindly contributed. The 1616 probably has a LOT more mojo, though.

And a good leather ball pocket streched. (dang kids from the school across the street keep hitting golf balls into our houses. I wanna see if I can hit one of them.... that may not be legal where you live.....) 'character' is not that much of an issue for me as much as sound and stability. Unfortunately, I don't really have anything to trade as I've found myself regretting every guitar I ever let get away. (with the exception of the Sears acoustic I smashed to bits, artistically.... though I might be coerced into trading+/-$ my Thunderhead for something similar but in better shape.) A/E mandatory, got pics seesquare? I'm not deeply biased against Celebecies. Iffy on shallow bowls though.
