To all the Aussies here who can't find a really nice Ovation at home, well I'm selling my "Lennon" Legend on Ebay.

Its a great guitar. Plays beautifully and sounds really nice acoustically or plugged in.

I just can't justify owning so many instruments and since I got the Glen Campbell reissue something's gotta give. No reserve.

What I don't understand...when I got my non-FRG, the four or five FRG's appeared - this is an outstanding guitar. Yet, of the four or five, there has been a lot of turnover.

This is a keeper...get it, treasure it, keep it.

The problem is that you can't keep them all. Tony you know that better than anyone. Times change, tastes change, opportunities change, financial sitiuations change.

Realistially, I play 3 of my guitars as "go to" instruments - U681 12string, TAK75 and Academy. Would it be nice to still own every guitar that's ever passed through my hands? SURE! But I'd be sitting on a whole lot of guitars that would never get played and the vast majority of them were "average" instruments at best.

My JL3 was a very nice guitar and I do miss it. But do I regret selling it? Not really. The GCRI was a VERY nice guitar, one of Ovations best ever. I semi-regret selling that one. But like I said, you just can't keep them all.

The good news for Richard is that somebofy will end up with a super nice and very collectable JL3, and he'd be no worse for it having his GCRI to play. Every one is a winner as long as we don't get greedy.

Just didn't want anyone to project that the turnover was a reflection on the guitar.

Light, great volume, "voice", price.

Thinking about giving any of my guitars away - even if there are some that I do not really like soundwise, acoustically - is very hard for me.

But one thing is for sure: One of the last guitars that would have to go is my JL3.

If you are looking for the "real" Ovation sound - paired with some of the new inventions - grab this one!
This guitar is great!

Dave is right, you can't keep'em all.

It's a fine guitar but I am very taken with the GC RI and I play this guitar alot. In fact that was the guitar I really wanted when I bought the JL but no GC's were brought into the country.

I still have my #47RI, 1687RI, GC and GC 12 string, so there's no need to cry any crocadile tears over me.

....AussieJames, no, that wasn't me.

Richard, Could you believe the price and how much he claimed it was worth? Some people.
I am quite interested in your guitar and watching it on Ebay.
We're almost neighbours, Greenslopes and Southbank
Apart from my Adamas 1581 all my Ovations are solids.

I consider this guitar to be "the one that got away". Sold it for personal reasons, but looking back, I still wish I had it.
