| Now, that is unique. I have never seen a 768 with that finish. It's defintely a collector instrument. |

"It is a model made by Ovation following my (Joel) instructions. It has got esthetical and technical particularities. First of all the color : Ovation produce the Folklore only on natural wood color, mine is blue tranparency (ref 8T), a color which is usually reserved for Elite and Celebrity Deluxe. Abalone inlays around the table which was only dispend on the Custom Legend. Abalone inlays around the rosette. The rosette is not in plastic glued on the table but encrusted in it (very beautiful).
The head is black varnished whereas it is black chechmate on the Folklore. Finally the Ovation logo is made with abalone.
For the technical aspect, I ask for a deep bowl for more rounded and power, the normal model comes with a mid bowl. Preamp is a OP50 (instead of a OP40) with a tuner. Finally it comes with a XLR output, very usefull for the stage like at home.
Here is for the american work.
Three months after buying this wonderful guitar, I asked my guitar maker to decorate the neck of this fabulous guitar and it became much more beautiful...
The neck is encrusted with an abalone life tree which takes in some places the initial form of Ovation marks. It is also encrusted with a bird in white "nacre" (I don't know the word : it is found in oisters...).
The bridge wasn't forgotten : it is decorated with two small abalone flowers which remembered the Ovation marks on the neck..."
Well, I hope you will understand my strange translation !
In one word : it is a pure beauty and this guy (Joel) is a real lover of Ovation ! He used to have a fantastic Custom Adamas... |

Dude that is some kinda Ovation. Almost to dam nice to play! It is like artwork my friend! Makes me want get out the inlay bits for my foredom and start practicing again. Looks like something a luthier would make for Glen Cambell.
