Hello all:

I'm new to this site. Just got back from band practice and a friend told me about it. He said I should check the site re: my guitar.

I have an Adamis 1689-9 (6-string). It has a pre-amp thingy and a built-in mic as well. Custom neck (rosewood I think) and some kind of carbon top. Beautiful sound! I had an Ovation before this one - a more plain one. Saw my current one in a guitar shop. Tried it out and just had to have it. I'm looking to get rid of it now (I'm actually the drummer in the band and I'd like to get something else).

Thoughts?!?

Hey t-nip, welcome.
Well my first thought is you should say what condition the guitar is in and how much you might want for it. Pictures if possible. If no pics, how about color, serial # how does it play??? Is it really a 1689 wide neck adamas I ?
It is then a carbon topped, walnut neck with walnut fingerboard. hope this makes sense, good luck peace mike

Now that you mention it, I do remember the guy telling me it was a walnut neck. The inside has a signature that looks like it says "CW Kaman II" and the serial # is 1085-91. What does the serial # and model # tell you?

It's in great shape and as I mentioned, plays beautifully.

The color is sort of natural/brown and the neck is wider than my old Ovation.

As far as what I'm looking for - I have no clue. I'd like to at least get what I paid for it. I took it to a guitar shop here in Dallas several years back, and near as they could tell it retailed for about $2,600.

serial number puts it at 1980 for year made. model # makes it a wide neck 6 string. two wood knobs. Depending on overall condition, fretwear, and condition of electronics, You have a $1000 to $1500+ guitar. of course worth is subjective. some wouldn't even offer money, some would offer more I suppose. private message me if you decide on a price and want to sell. peace mike
