Location: Scotland | Hi there, I am new to this list so please bear with me. I have been offered an Ovatio electro/acoustic guitar, dunno much about it but it does look and sound in good nick. Man.no. appears to be CS 167 but I can find no reference to it in the Ovation web site. Can anyone offer some help or info on this type of guitar. What might it be worth in Good or very good condition?
I await your replies with anticipation, thanks. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I couldn't find anything on a CS-167 but for the most part we see Celebs go around $200-$250 in most cases. Older and less pristine deduct fast.

Location: Scotland | Thanks Woody, the asking price in the shop is around £250.00 or $375.00 ish in U.S. money, maybe a bit high. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I just paid $290 for a CS 247 (Celebrity Deluxe) about a year or two old with a case. That's probably on the high end, but an identical one with case just sold for $268, plus shipping on ebay. I assume the 167 is closest to the 157 and the next step above that is the 257 and then the 247. The only difference between the 257 and the 247 is the 247 had a mid bowl. I would think an older 167 should be considerably less than those prices. |
