(satire alert...)

Like, taking a break from back-bacon sangwiches here... to say thanks for best wishes on this auspicious birthday of our former Queen and colonial Monarchness!!

Was rather alarmed last night, when there seemed to be more local gunplay than usual... Turned out it was fireworks. Scared the crap out of the poor cat though, lol.

I thought Puerto Rico was the fifty-first state... Nope? I guess they're not buying it either...

Um, if your dollar dips any lower you may be the 10th province......after spending some time as the 4th Territory, behind The Yukon, The Northwest, and Nunavut. (The Northwest Territory has been waiting since 1870, but we're all a patient lot.)

First you'll have to learn to drink beer, play hockey (so we can our players back), and take training to be better lovers.

A - There are no Griz on The Island.
B - The Griz would take that as an offering, not an insult.
C - As long as there's a tree you can climb nearby you're relatively safe.
D - If you can't fight for fun with 'the cousins' who ya gonna do it with?
Everyone else is too small, too serious, or too far away.

PS: Avatar. Only two kinds of people come from Winterpeg.
What position do you play?
(my wife was born there, that's how I know)

I usually like to be on top, but I'm open to other ideas... (goalie, actually, lol).

In all seriousness, there seems to be a rather large 'humour gap' and I still have quite a bit of raw meat trailing behind me from the last time I tried to introduce any atypical repartee here... be careful what you say. :D

Ah, yes. It helps to have met a few members in person to suss out the personalities. And having a rough idea which ones are slightly tender on which topics.

Self-deprecating humour is usually safe. For a start. Those 'earthy' humours that I alluded to (and you, me, and a couple people in the border states 'got') are best kept elsewhere until you're over 1,000 posts or so. If you can make jokes in FORTRAN it seems you're Miles ahead.

That, and knowing when to walk away will keep you out of trouble. When I find out 'when', I'll let you know.

I just like to use my special gifts to show others where the hot buttons are... and then watch.
I just shipped a package to PR and was amazed at how it costs the same as shipping to the 48!

Any chance of getting Oz to become a Territory?
