Thanks. |

How long were you planning on leaving it in there. |

But alas, I have a solution. I was playing a guitar last night which has the nice little Alpep dB boost button (gee, what guitar could that be), anyway I'm looking at the stealth little black button and thinking "shit, if only that was an on/off switch". Bingo. Trip to Fry's for the hardware and wire the switch right into the batter clip so at a press of the button you cut the power completely. Small modification to the 1/4 jack to shut the loop that normally triggers power and viola, it's done. Might even look into a lighted switch or a little LED indicator to prevent leaving the thing powered on. |

Location: Louisville, OH 44641 | I have both the VIP and the Idea preamps. It's a real pain in my arss to go get the plug out of the case to tune my guitar. I always feel like I might as well go get my tuner. So I was considering making a special plug that I could keep plugged in. It would have a low profile head so that it would still fit into my case. But it doesn't sound like that will work for me.
Sounds like "Dummy Plug" was appropriately named by a seasoned marketing person. |

It definitely could have been corrected in the design phase. I don't know why someone didn't correct it before, unless they were in a hurry to get to production. ... or maybe someone has stock in the battery industry. |
