Location: Newington, CT | Well, I've given my daughter a few lessons and we just had our first Daddy-Daughter jam session, which I fgured I'd record for the fun of it (link below). She's on rhythm, playing a gorgeous FD-14, and doing some simple chording -- G-D-Em -- but her transitions are pretty darned good for a beginner. I'm playing the always wonderful OFC II (custom 2080) and it's an all acoustic "session." The flubs are all mine.
Some of you met (and were charmed by) Diana at the New Jersey OFC get-together with Matt Smith.
About two-thirds of the way through the recording, you can hear my son playing with his Christmas Legos. It sounds like castanets gone very wrong! Very funny.
When you have a chance, please take a listen and let me know what you think.
It's at my ning page at this location. It's called "Diana's Debut,".
Thanks, all!

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | The nice part about it is, after several months Diana will be able to listen to what you've recorded and hear the progress she's made--you'll be able to "reminisce" about the days back when she only knew a few chords; it's really encouraging to look back and see how far you've come.
Good work, Dad!
