I am so enjoying listening to your CD, and I recommend it enthusiastically to everyone! ( www.guitarsoffire.com for those who haven't yet visitied. It's well worth it.) By the way, there was a thread recently where I waxed eloquent (or at least I thought so) on the virtues of the fast run, and you politely demurred to the effect that sometimes we pay too little heed to the musical value of the strategically-placed silence or the slow, languid melody. You were right. You mix graceful, fast, beautifully executed runs with well-placed silence or expressive languidness, all of which build anticipation, punctuate other instrumental contributors, or are just the right ingredient for the music at that point. You give me a nice, HIGH bar to shoot at. Maybe some years from now, I'll get close to where you are now! At which point, I'm assuming you'll have raised the bar even further! Life is good! Great stuff!

Please don't forget that more than half of the guitar tapestry is OFCs own Jeff Burns (his Elite has a bit of chorus, mine is the "straight" Adamas 1581 sound). I think our drummer Joe DeJohns did a fantastic job at that session, given that he was only JUST learning the tunes. I'm happy to send the CD (a demo, really: not worth charging a fellow OFCer)to anyone who wants to forward their snail address to me.
