The one with the knobs on top (the amp) has a number 6441 on the front and the speaker is numbered 7441. The amp has the on top that says "Ovation Model K-6441Bass Dude". I understand Ovation only made amps for a few years and many local people did not even know they ever did. Would this make this amp and speaker worth more?

Unfortunately worth is super subjective terms to use on these. On eBay I have seen the best condition ones get up to the $200 range. Should they be worth more... oh yeah.. They are great amps. Is anyone interested in them other than the current owners that are still using them and possibly me.... nope.. I'm sure this doesn't help much... but there it is. If it is a Base Dude like in the pictures on the link above, I actually don't have that particular model. DO you have a picture you could post, or send me at mileskb at aol.com I might be interested depending on cost and shipping.

Quality and rarity doesn't equate to value or collectibility. I'd love an Ovation amp to go with a few more Ovation electrics, but I don't play what I have, so it doesn't make sense. Having the best collection of Ovations in town, or maybe in the State, doesn't seem to impress to many people.

Handy, efficient, organized, neat, easy to use, out-of-the-way, inexpensive, and tipover-proof safe. Just curious . . . how were you able to collect so many examples of such a difficult-to-find product (the amps), particularly if we may presume that much of your inventory was built before the days of Internet auctions and direct sales?

Actually the majority of my collection happened between 1999 and 2002. Most of the amps (as well the guitars) came from eBay. Also from the usual Guitar shows, pawn shops, dealers and fellow gear sluts... but mostly eBay. how were you able to collect so many examples of such a difficult-to-find product (the amps), particularly if we may presume that much of your inventory was built before the days of Internet auctions and direct sales? I also ran across some "deals" where someone had xx number of cabinets, someone else had xx number of boxes of speakers, yet another had a box of amps (just the electronics)... That's the stuff that's in storage.. There are probably 5 or 6 more complete units if I get all the parts into one place at one time.

My 18 year old son has taken a liking to the sound the amp and the bass. I hope I can find a way to put him playing on here
