Location: South of most, North of few | Last night, Jukebox Joe and his lovely girlfriend Iris stopped by to try out an Adamas and he absolutely fell in love with the 1681. We got to go out and have a few chicken wings and brews and play a little. Great time with some new friends. He's due to stop by Iffy's house tomorrow I believe. Iris has some pics that I hope he will post when he gets back home. Another reminder that there are some great people here. |

Location: Miami | We had a blast, and it was awesome meeting Jim and his family. Unfortunately I never got to meet Iffy except on the phone. Half way through our vacation I figured we were just having way too much fun so I decided to spend the next 2 days in the hospital with vertigo, caused by either food poisoning or a virus! (Perhaps it was too much GAS!)
At any rate, I did get to meet Jim and I finally got to play my first Adamas! Pics coming soon!
Jim and Iffy, you guys are the greatest for checking up on me. Thanks for letting me try the Adamas at last. I did receive the last new Adamas 1781 on Friday and I will post my impressions (and pics) soon! It felt so strange taking a brand new Adamas out of the box, taking the plastic off and smelling the wood and the paint. It was surreal!
Right now I have six gits in the house, half of which will stay (2 for gigging and 1 for playing at home), and half of which will go. Who will make it and who won't? Stay tuned!
And thanks again to Jim and Iffy, 2 new friends that were greater acquisitions than any guitar. Love you guys! |

Location: Miami | As promised, pics of my first Adamas experience:
Love at first strum
Thank you, Jim, for letting me check it out! My first impression was a good one. I couldn't believe the projection from this guitar. The tone was nice, the bass was huge, and the sound holes felt like loudspeakers!
How do I like it compared to my Elite T's? I'll do my Adamas vs. textured T's rundown in a different post!
Thanks, again Jim (and Iffy!) |
