Naw, I've changed strings on a lot of slot head 12's. It really isn't a problem for me, I kind of like it actually. And, yes,...I am a sick individual, but without me, a lot of you other "sick" individuals wouldn't have some of the nice guitars you have, not to mention someone to pick on. :D :p
The earmuffs are strictly to protect my,(and others) appreciation for fine music, which I can't seem to create on a guitar. I'm sure anyone who has heard me play will agree with that statement. I'm a drummer. I only "dabble" in guitar playing.

Actually, I just bought it to get the purple lined case.
Jim, I hope you're just kiddin about that...its a shame to break up a near mint guitar from the original case thats kept it protected for all these years...If the case were needing replacement, well yeah, but this is a set...and a vintage one at that...
just my .02 cents...but this stuff is getting rarer and harder to find all the time...

Mike, you really need to meet me. Of course I'm kidding. I am really looking forward to seeing this one. I'm going to resist moving it on and keep it. 40 years old and in that condition (hopefully), I need to keep this one.

Whew, Jim ya had me somewhat worried...you're right, we do need to get together...This is a keeper if you can...I would have gone for it in a minute but I made a promise to SWMBO...besides, I have two old 12's including the shiny bowl w/purple lined case...show us some pic's when it gets there!
I got the '67 out this am...tuned it up: did a saddle adjustment and retuned...what a great sound...Ovation/Adamas 12's are the top shelf in 12 strings...no doubt! Yours is a beaut!

This one is a 1971-72 era, is it not?

Nice get!

TJ, thanks for the call today: it meant a lot! Been a tough week in some respects and I appreciate your concern!

Today I stopped by a pawnshop that recently opened and saw a Pacemaker 1615 serial number 000972. It had quite a bow in the neck, but no finish cracks. $450 asking price. Anyone want it?

Mark,

If I didn't have one already, I'd jump all over that.

Any chance of a cash 'talk down' for one of our OFCers?
