| Hello.
I have an Ovation guitar, serial number 344116. From my research on the web, it was made in 1985 or 1986. Unfortunately, the model number sticker is long gone.
Is there anyway for me to determine what model I have? Perhaps a link to catalog photos from those years?
Thanks in advance,
Russ |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Are you sure it's a USA model? The serial number list only works for those. Does it have a neck with 2 light colored strips down it? Center or multihole?
Pictures of your guitar would help.
Or you could go to the link for Ovation Tribute and find pictures of most all Ovations. |

Welcome to the OFC.
If you could post a picture or two it would help. |

| Yeah, I guess a few photos would be helpful.
I posted some photos on craiglist (guitar not really for sale, as you can see from price). Sorry about the quality - photography is not my forte.

Thanks again,

| Ultra Deluxe, eh? It does look virtually identical to this one (other than the color), so you're probably right. Thanks!

Location: CA | I had a Ultra Deluxe for awhile and liked it. The tops are very pretty and no two seem to be the same. They are foreign-made and the tops are laminated — at least on the 'fancy wood' ones. Which detracts some from the sound (solid wood vibrates better). But plugged or for just plunking around it was great. I have a friend who has a spruce-topped Ultra that sounds much better and suspect it may have a solid top. |
