I have always been be a big fan of Ovation guitars since I first seen them in all the magazines adds & photo's in the mid 80s, I have always wanted one an finally could purchase a one, I bought a a 96' Elite Standard 6778 USA model, So I started doing some research on on it because of the color I believe it to be Ice Coffee ( IC ) as far as I could tell by look though some brochures it was only a available from January - July of 1996 it is a pictured in the July - December but the color options was remover.
Now I'm thinking about sending this it back to the factory to have the neck reset, and it plays good sounds good, but I believe that it can be better

Hard to tell from that picture ... but it looks a lot like Nutmeg (-7). What does your label say?

P.S. I've never seen any reference to Ice Coffee as a color before, unless it was used on the offshore models. I think the Standard Elites and Balladeers were made in Korea for a while before they came back to the US, before they went back over to Asia.

Here is the brochure pages from January - June & July - December
The one in the front is the same color as mine, and there is no marking any were that I could find for the color code

In the first page it has a iced coffee (IC) as one of the colors an in the second page the guitar is pictured but the color code is no longer available, and I would like to find out how many where made in this color?

Well, there's your answer as to color. Iced Coffee it is. Probably not too many made in that -IC designation. As a fan of the -7 Nutmeg finish, the color appeals to me. What does your label say about country of manufacture? The monocolor epis were on a few models during that time period made in the US and they were doing a lot of unique colors and finishes. Maybe someone else can chime in too.

If you want it looked after. Ovation customer service is the way to go. But before you go down the neck reset path, search for and read up on shims, the K-Bar, and setup tips. You may have some room to move and make it play to your style and feel.

If I forgot to say it before - welcome and nice guitar.

country of manufacture is USA. I will check in to the shims,
I called an talked to John an was asking he about the top it has a slight bow up at the bridge from the strings pulling, and he was tell me what they could do to fix it, replace the top, reset the neck or leave it be. The action is a little higher then what I would like..... Now to decide what to do that will not hurt the value of the guitar

I am guessing that this has a bolt-on neck, therefore a Neck-Reset would not be a major project.

I don't know how bad the bridge is lifting or the top is bowing, so I don't know if that would cure your problem.
But if there is no room to lower the saddle, a neck reset would be the simplest option.
