Location: NW of Philadelphia		I am trying to find out what kind of guitar my first electric was.

Well, here is a pic circa 1976. The guitar was a 1975-76 Toyota.



So... what do you think it was a replica of?

trini lopez was like a 335 thickness

Location: NW of Philadelphia		An error on the description of my guitar (not that it matters) but it was a 1971 Toyota BK.

Yes, the BK was a full thickness, the TL came in full and a thinline models. Trini Lopez was discovered by Frank Sinatra playing a Gibson BK. Gibson later made a TL version with diamond shaped f-holes, a reversed Firebird headstock, and a Lopez nameplate on the trapeze. He later changed to a ES-335 with the same appointments as the original TL.

From what I can find, the Ventura V-1400 was this ones twin.

1970 Ventura V-1400 aka the Barney Kessel







As good as she looks in the pics, she needs work. The only original part left besides the neck and body is the tailpiece, wiring harness, and knobs. So I have decided to replace everything. I'm waiting for all the new parts to arrive as we speak. Otherwise the body is a very good shape, so I will touch it up and buff it out. We will see how I do in a few weeks. Wish me luck.
